Recording and consent
Recording rules vary by country, state, workplace, profession, and meeting context.
Before recording
- Tell every participant that recording is taking place.
- Explain that the app will create a local automated transcript and editable minutes.
- Obtain the consent required for that meeting and location.
- Follow employer, school, healthcare, court, confidentiality, and contractual rules.
- Stop recording if consent is refused or withdrawn when applicable.
The app does not support invisible recording. A visible recording state and the device’s system microphone indicator are safety features and must not be circumvented.
Automated transcripts and minutes may contain errors. Review them before they are treated as an official record or shared with other people.
